How much Filecoin miners can make?
Will it cover the monthly cost, well I’m not quite sure yet because everything at this moment is still on TESTNET. However, we have 2 main incomes as Filecoin miners, all paid in FIL
1. Providing storage/retrieval services
2. Earn Block Reward
We hope for the raise of FIL (its about $4-$12 in future market atm)
We hope there are a lot of real storage deals and a lot of retrieval deals

Earnings as Storage and Retrieval Service Provider, I use Amazon S3 as comparison and to make assumptions, estimations
In best case, you have to fill all your HDDs for storage deals and it will happen If you bought verified data 8TB HDDs from Filecoin Discover Program.
To cover the monthly cost you will need at least 4 verified data 8TB HDDs at $0.0115 deal. Unfortunately, the program’s first wave ended on 12th June 2020. You have to wait for the next wave.
Calculation:
4 HDDs x 8TB = 32 TB
32 TB * $11.5 per month = $368 per month
Earnings from Filecoin Block Reward, Not too sure about the numbers because it depends on a lot of factors including: total network storage Power, your network speed, how fast you can seal all your TB of storage space and of course the price of FIL in $
Bear in mind that the minimum Storage Power you must have before receiving the reward is 10TiB.
Notes: I didn’t include the punishment if your system is offline or HDD damage in this analysis.
